J. E. McAdoo, age 63 years an old time cattleman of the state, died at the home of his son, J. V. McAdoo, last Saturday morning at 3:30 a.m. of pneumonia. Mr. McAdoo was born in Louisburg, KY., and came to this part of Texas twenty-one years ago. He had always been very strong and was as good as any of the young men when it came to making a hand on the ranch. He had not been sick long and got up too soon and took a relapse. The deceased leaves two sons, J. V. McAdoo (wife Jewell) and Gordon McAdoo(wife Ida) of Sierra Blanca; two daughters, Mrs. Ona Hammack (husband Ed), of Ables, TX, and Mrs. Vida Head (husband Luther), of El Paso, TX. Three brothers and a host of friends to mourn his departure.
