Alice A. (Abbott) Terrell, 98, of Kentland passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018. She was born July 6, 1920, in Yates Center, Kansas, to the late Carl and Eva (Darst) Abbott. She was a 1938 Graduate of Yates Center High School of Kansas.
She married Mervin “Bill” A. Terrell on February 8, 1943, in Yates Center, Kansas; Bill passed away September 20, 2018.
Alice had lived in Kentland since 1950 and was a parishioner of Trinity United Methodist Church in Kentland.
Through the years, Alice was a dedicated journaler who chronicled goings-on in her life and her family’s life for decades. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers in the garden, attending oil painting classes, Women’s Club at the Methodist Church, card clubs including Euchrerama, reading, and spending time with family, friends, and her grandchildren.
Surviving are her 4 children, Dr. Dale (wife: Jacqueline) Terrell of St. Louis, MO, Dr. Frank (wife: Dr. Kay Boyd) Terrell of Kentland, Richard C. Terrell of Kentland, and Pam (husband: Steve) Hartman of West Lafayette. Alice is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death along with her parents and husband are siblings, Clifford Abbott, Alma Abbott, and Barbara Stockebrand.
