Mrs. Jennie Herron Phillips, widow of the late John C. Phillips, died at her home in Cecil township Thursday evening, September 16, at 7 o'clock. Mr. Phillips died this same date 18 years ago. Mrs. Phillips had been in ill health for a year past, and for much of that time had been confined to her bed. She is survived by five children: Irene Phillips; Delia, wife of Thomas W. Grey, Woodville; Ada, wife of Charles R. Riggle, of Washington; Nellie, wife of George S. McPeake, Canonsburg; also by five grandchildren: Paul Riggle, Kathryn McPeake, Mary McPeake Horr, John J. McPeake and George S. McPeak, Jr. Mrs. Phillips was a member of the First Presbyterian church, Canonsburg.
Funeral services will be held from the late home of the deceased Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, (d. s. t.). and will be conducted by her pastor, Rev. G. G. Kerr. Interment in Oak Spring cemetery.
