Jackie was born on November 16, 1937, in Soda Springs Idaho, to Edwin “Ted” and Esther Bevins. She was the second of four sisters. She lived in Alexander, Idaho, where she attended a two room schoolhouse. After the death of her father, her family moved back to Soda Springs when she was 12. She finished up her schooling and graduated from high school there. She then moved to Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she attended beauty school. This is when she met and married Glen Holverson. They had one daughter, Carey. After their divorce, she moved to Las Vegas to live with her mom and daughter, starting her career with the phone company as an operator. She later moved to Portland, Oregon, where she worked for GTE for several years until her retirement. At the same time, she met and married the love of her life, Richard Lazott. They both loved hunting and fishing and just spending time together. After Richard’s untimely death, Jackie sold their home and moved to Milton Freewater, to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren. She loved growing roses, quilting and being with family. Mom was also very devoted to church and made several friends there; she never knew a stranger. She was also involved with the Rebekah’s Lodge here in Milton Freewater, holding many offices within the organization. She served as Noble Grand twice. Mom worked for Smith Frozen Foods as their receptionist for about 12 years, making many friends there also.

Mom was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; sisters, Pauline Goodenough and DonnaLee Simpson; brother-in-law, Rick Cluff; her mother and father; also by four nieces, Laura Ann of Utah, Salynn of Idaho, Jody of Las Vegas and baby Lucy of Pocatello; one nephew, Darin of Georgia. She is survived by her baby sister, Lois Cluff of American Falls, Idaho; her daughter and son-in-law, Carey and Tim Werhan of Milton-Freewater; grandchildren, Lee (Heather) of Alabama, Josh (Dyanna) Garcia of Portand, Nikki (Sean) Goldbach and Kyla of Milton Freewater; great-grandchildren, Zack, Morgan, Courtney, Madison, Alex, Hailey, Gaby and Katelynn; nieces and nephews, Cathy (Ken), Amy, Gary (Julia), John, Robert and Troy, all of Utah; Billy (LuJean), Debbie (Brent) and Robert (Sue) of Idaho; Sheldon (Jim) of Las Vegas; and special friends, Mike and Teresa Dutcher.
