Leslie J. Kervin, 36, of 1647 Brinckerhoff Avenue, a member of the Utica Police Department for two years died at 10:30 this morning Jan. 15, 1935 in a local hospital after an extended illness.

He was appointed to the police force two years ago but retired recently due to ill health. Mr. Kervin was born in Utica Oct 10, 1899 son of the late Helen Troy and Peter Kervin. He attended local schools, and was a member of the Blessed Sacrement and its Holy Name Society. Before joining the police department he was employed by the Augusta Knitting Company and the Graffenburg Dairy.

Ten years ago he was married to Agnes Barry who survives. Besides his widow, he leaves four sisters; Mrs. Merle Simpson of Rochester, Mrs. Alice Bratz, Buffalo; Mrs. john Welton, Cohoes, and Mrs. Esther White, Utica and several nieces and nephews.
