Born March 4 1906 in Walsenberg, Colorado to Antonio and Maria Estipula Martinez Read. Married Abran Quintana on February 24, 1926 in Los Arboles, Colorado. He preceded her in death on September 22, 1972.
She was a member of the Alter Society Legion of Mary Volunteers committee to construct St. Joseph the Worker's Church. Member of St. Joseph the Worker.
Moved to Lark Utah with family August 1947 from Silverton, Colorado. Moved to West Jordan 1948. She lived with her son and his wife in Midvale, Utah for the last seven years, where she passed away.
Survived by sons and daughters: Bartholomew, Midvale; Abe A., Dugway; Mrs. Charles (Tiva) Gallegos, West Jordan, Mrs. Rebecca McCauley, Fairbanks, Alaska; Mrs. Frances (Bernice) Snowden, Sand Springs, Maryland; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brothers and
sisters: E.M. (Jake) Read, Salt Lake City, Utah; Felix Read, Walsenberg, Colorado; Sara Albury, Mobile, Alabama; Cleo Elliot, Oklahoma; Juanita Hicks, New York; aunt Barbara M. Jacques; uncle Willie Martinez, both of
Pueblo, Colorado. Preceded in death by three daughters, two sons, two sisters and three brothers.
Mass of Christian burial will be Friday Nov 4, 1988 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 7405 South 1700 West. Holy Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:30 PM at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So State where friends may call Thursday 6-8 PM. Burial West Jordan City Cemetery.
