Clifford Alley, 86, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Clifford was born in Ava, IL and moved to Hammond, IN where he was a graduate of Hammond High School and met the love of his life Beverly. He retired after 40 years from NIPSCO as a Welder and later as a Supervisor. He loved camping, hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a former member of First Baptist Church in Hammond, IN, Goreville Baptist Church in Southern IL, and member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Bernice Alley; sister, Shirley Janssen; and grandson, Jason Heacker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Beverly Alley; daughter, Judy (Herman) Heacker; son, Clifford (Jennifer) Alley Jr.; grandchildren, Ashley (Patrick) Abrams, Aaron, Alexa, and Austin Alley; and great-grandson, Conor Abrams.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 15 at 12 PM in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga for all of their love, support, and care of Clifford.
