John H. Bacon, 89, died Sunday at Care Inn Nursing Home. Prayer services are 1 p.m. today at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home chapel with burial in Canton Cemetery in Canton. A native of Canton, Mr. Bacon had lived in Raymond for the past three years. He retired afer 45 years of service as a switchman with Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Canton. His son, Richard H. Bacon, died in 1983.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Mrs. Marthajo Bacon of Raymond; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
