Mother of McComb Resident Dies
Funeral Held Monday in Vicksburg for Mrs. Hattie Bacon
Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Pauline Bacon, 75-year-old mother of Paul C. Bacon of McComb, were held Monday morning in Vicksburg.
Mrs. Bacon died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Charles Pinkston, in Vicksburg, Sunday morning.
Last rites were held at 9 a. m. at the home and at 9:30 at St Paul’s Catholic church in Vicksburg.
Monsignor. J. M. Pendergast was the celebrant of a requiem mass at the church.
Pallbearers were R. F. Adams Joseph E. Bonelli, Sr., Leo. Koestlet, Frank Kearns, Dr.. Frank Schlosser, Leon Hood, R. E. Williams, Rufus Ellis.
Interment was in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Fisher's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bacon was the widow of the late John Henry Bacon who died in l921. She has been living Vicksburg for the past twenty years. She came from Canton where she was born and reared.
During her residence in Vicksburg she has made many friends.
Other survivors include one other daughter, Mrs. E. R. Passmore of Cocoa, Fla., and one other son, John H. Bacon, of Canton, as well
as a number of grandchildren.
