Mrs. Lida Stephenson Johnston, Canonsburg RD 3 Linden, died in the Canonsburg General Hospital on November 3, 1955 at 11: 40 p.m. following an extended illness. She was admitted to the hospital on October 25.
Mrs. Johnston was the wife of Harmen D. Johnston and was well known in the Linden community where she had resided lit 30 years.
She was born October 13, 1888 in Eldersville, Pa., and was he daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Jane Cassidy Stevenson. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church. Philathea Class and the Fidelity Club of North Strabane.
Besides her husband she leaves three children: Margaret, wife of David A. Miller, Waynesburg; Dorothy, wife of Clark Maxwell, Hookstown and John Johnston in McMurray, and four grandchildren.
Friends are being received at the Hinton and Griffith Funeral Home where services will be held Sunday, Nov. 6 in the Central Presbyterian Church in charge of the Rev. Carl H. Lenz. Burial will be in Oak Spring Cemetery.
