Jane (Craig Boyd)

Jane (Craig) Boyd (generation #1)- Founding mother, her family records and dates were burned by the Indians in 1756. Same goes for other families' records.

She was the wife of John Boyd, Generation #1. They were married in 1715.

She and her husband moved with her brother, Thomas Craig #1, and others from Philadelphia to Craig's Settlement in 1728 here in Allen & E. Allen Townships.

John died on the farm near Bath in 1750 at age 60yrs. His burial place was either on the farm or in this cemetery.
The farm she lived on was later owned by John Miller. Jane outlived her husband by several years.

Since the family records burned, the only names people could remember for their children were:
John Boyd Generation#2
Jane Boyd Generation#2 Mary Boyd
---------------------------------------------
Suggested edit: John and his wife Jane Craig Boyd are probably the parents of three children buried here with them in Horner's Cemetery - E. B., G.B. and M.B. for Elizabeth, George and Mary. Contributor: Margaret Stroud (49574093)
