Gary L. Clark, 67, of Mason City passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Heritage Care and Rehabilitation Center in Mason City.

A memorial service will be held 10:30 A.M., Saturday, October 13th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City with Rev. Kathy Graves officiating. Inurnment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M., Friday, October 12th at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N. Pennsylvania Ave. in Mason City.

Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church.

Gary Lee Clark, the son of Bernard and Janet (Jarshaw) Clark, was born September 29, 1951 in Mason City. He graduated from Mason City High School in 1970, NIACC in 1972 and Mankato State University in 1975 where he received his Bachelor of Science in Social Work. He was a dedicated student athlete and enjoyed playing many sports well into adulthood. Gary was employed at Opportunity Village in Clear Lake, now One Vision, for 41 years, retiring in October of 2016. He was a devoted member of the leadership team and was passionate about advocating for his clients. He was an active member of the Democratic Party in Cerro Gordo County, participating in the caucuses and assisting with the steering committee for Joe Biden. Gary was a big sports enthusiast and an avid Baltimore Orioles fan. He enjoyed attending spiritual retreats and spending time with his family.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Gary is survived by his two children, Melissa (Kevin) Miller of Alexandria, VA and Matt (Allison) Clark of Manly; three grandsons, Liam and Lucas Miller and Ayden Clark; a brother, Mark Clark of Mason City; two sisters, Julie Dorsey of Mason City and Kim (Joe) Bilyeu of Forest City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
