Debra Makidon
(October 18, 1952-October 3, 2018)

Debra Sue Makidon, age 65, long time resident of Pine River, passed away in Lewiston, Maine, on October 3, 2018. She was born to H.R. "Bob" and Flossie Cummings, in Iowa Falls, Iowa on October 18, 1952. She married Charles Makidon on October 1, 1988, on the Gunflint Trail in northern Minnesota.

After retiring Debi and her husband, Charlie, chose a life of full-time RVing which she dearly loved. After spending 14 months in Alaska, they began a journey to see the wonderful sights of North America. With a few recent health problems successfully gone, they moved on in their journeys. Debi had fond memories of places she wanted to revisit which they did as they traveled. That journey was cut short of fulfillment when Debi passed away from a sudden medical problem while traveling in Maine. Debi was a proud wife of, and supporter of the Disabled American Veterans.

She is survived by her husband, Charles; brother, Max Cummings (Jan); her beloved Cocker Spaniel, Smokey; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Cummings.

Services will be 2 PM on Monday, October 15, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be 1:15 PM on Tuesday, October 16, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.
