After graduating from Moapa High School in 1956, Lillie worked at Nellis Air Force Base. She then moved to Provo, Utah where she met her future husband, Loal Arthur Vance. She and Loal were married in Las Vegas on April 2, 1960. Lillie and Loal lived in numerous places before settling down in Meridian, Idaho, where they raised six children.
Lillie spent many years as a devoted mother and homemaker before eventually returning to obtain her Bachelor's in Nursing from Boise State University in 1992. She worked in hospitals and elderly care before retiring in 2009. Lillie had many talents and interests, most notably her skills in cooking and baking, which she shared with many in the several events she catered. She also enjoyed quilting, yard and farm sales, gardening, reading, and decorating and entertaining.
Lillie was a lifelong and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and, in her later years, faithfully served a mission for the Church in historic Nauvoo, Illinois, in 2004-2005.
Lillie was predeceased by her husband, Loal Arthur and sons William and Vaughn . She is survived by her children Loal, Daniel, Otis, Rachel, and Jon, 25 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Amity Road chapel located at 1695 E. Amity Road, Meridian, Idaho.
