Obituary, Hazleton Standard Speaker Thursday Oct. 24, 1918
Peter Berashes, aged 39 years, died last night at 8 o'clock at the family home, 525 East Cranberry avenue. Death was due to influenza and followed an illness of eight days. He is survived by his wife and the following children, Joseph, Peter, Nellie, Tessie, Helen and Isabelle.
The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Friday, with internment in Saint Peter and Paul's Cemetery.

Per family member preliminary information Peter came to the United States from Russia/Lithuania abt. 1907, thought to be the youngest of three boys. He was the second of three husbands of Magdalena [Margaret] Jackus/Jackles/Jack. They had two sons, Joseph and Peter Britch.

Magdalena/Margaret, and some of her children and third husband Anthony Krivitis burials have been identified. Anthony is buried in this cemetery. Sylvester Burnaditus (various spellings) was her first, four known children, possibly one more died in infancy.
Magdalena/Margaret maiden name has been found in U.S. documents as Jackles and Jack. Many of these surnames have spelling variations.
Anthony Krawitis, wife Maggie (Magdalena/Margaret) and all her children are found in 1920 US Federal Census living in Hazleton. Burnatidus (Bernatitis/Burnatitis) children from her first marriage and Joseph and Peter Brige [Britch] are all listed as step children. Anthony Krivitis and Magdalena/Margaret had one child, Martha after this census. Sons Joseph and Peter are buried in Alaska after relocating there prior to statehood.
