Walter T. Miller, son of Henry W. and Mary Jane (Dunn) Miller, was born near Humboldt, Allen Co., Kansas, Mar. 18, 1891, and departed this life at Jetmore Sept. 13, 1952, at the age of 61 years, 5 mos, and 26 days.

The family moved to Pretty Prairie in 1898. He was converted early in life and was a member of the U.P. there.

In 1908 he came with his parents to Jetmore where he became a charter member of the U.P. church in Jetmore. He taught the mens Bible Class for 14 years, until his health broke. He had been in failing health for more that 4 years.

As a young man he taught several terms of school, then his interest turned to farming.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Lizzie (Mrs. Ralph Nichol) and Lulu (Mrs. Oscar Lambert).

He leaves to morn his passing, 3 sisters, Mrs Sadie Mercer, Mrs. Dave Barton, both of Pretty Prairie, and Mrs. A. E. Lewis of Leoti, and 3 brothers, Jim of Hereford, Texas, and Frank and Harry of Jetmore, and a host of other relatives and friends.
