Henry's birth name was Henry H. Miller but he took the middle name of Watson because this family raised him after the death of his parents.

Henry Watson Miller was born March 22nd, 1853, at Albia, Ia., and died at Hutchinson, April 30, 1930, at age of 77 years., 1 month and 8 days.

He was married to Mary Jane Dunn in February 21, 1848, at Centerville, Ia., and came to Kansas in 1880, finally locating at Jetmore in 1908, where his wife preceded him in death in 1912.

In early manhood he united with the United Presbyterian church, and has been an active member for that denomination ever since, serving as Ruling Elder of the church at Jetmore at the time of his death.

Funeral services were held from the church at Jetmore on May 2nd, conducted by his pastor, Rev. Gilfillan, and interment in the Jetmore cemetery, beside his wife.

He is survived by nine children: Mrs. Sadie Mercer, Mrs. Lulu Lambert, Mrs. Jessie Barton and Ora Lewis, all of Pretty Prairie; Mrs Lizzie Nichols of Sterling; Jim, Walter, Harry, and Frank of Jetmore. Thirty grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also one brother, Jake, who lives here, and other relatives and a host of friends who mourn his departure.
