Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 1, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, Asheboro, with Elder Richard Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.
Born May 18, 1932, Mr. Arrington was the son of the late Samuel L. and Nell Richardson Arrington. He was retired from the Greensboro City Inspections Department where he served as the Chief Electrical Inspector. Mr. Arrington enjoyed amateur photography, woodworking, playing the banjo, Appalachian music, reading his Bible and observing nature.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Arrington was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Whitby Arrington; brothers, Buell Arrington, Kermit Arrington, Clarence Arrington, Glen Arrington and Omar Arrington.
Mr. Arrington survived by his children Tim Arrington, of Asheboro, Karen A. Hampton and husband, David, of Stokesdale, Angela Arrington, of Oak Ridge, Vance Trogdon, Jr., of Kernersville, John Trogdon and wife, Cindy, of Asheboro, Alan Trogdon and wife, Emilie, of Winston-Salem; sister, Edna A. Bissett, of Stokesdale; brother, Fred Arrington, of Pilot Mountain; grandchildren, Keri White, Chad Trogdon, Lane Trogdon, Dr. Carrie T. Adkins, Katie Trogdon, Christopher Trogdon, Jocoby Trogdon; great grandchildren, Peyton White, Jase White; cherished friends and neighbors, Bob and Betty Hussey.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 30, 2018, at Ridge Funeral Home.
