Mr. Clarence Wayne Arrington, 93, of High Point, NC died March 15, 2007 at his residence.

He was born July 6, 1913 in Surry County, NC to Samuel L. and Mamie Richardson Arrington.

Mr. Arrington married Estelle Joyce on March 4, 1933.

He waspreceded in death by his parents, his step-mother Nell R. Arrington and brothers Omar, Buell, Kermit and Glenn
Arrington.

He was a faithful member of Oakview United Methodist Church.

Mr. Arrington was employed by American Bakeries for his entire working career. He had a love of golf, and one of his best memories was playing in the 1980 GGO Pro-Am Tournament with Fuzzy Zoeller and country/western singer Jimmy Dean.

He was a man of faith and strength, adored by his family. His kind heart held the love of God and family and his large hands gently held his grandchildren. He gave of himself with many caring acts of Christian love. “Any man can be a father but it takes someone special to be a Dad.”

Funeral services for Mr. Arrington will be held 11 am Monday at Oakview United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at 2 pm in Brims Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Hwy 268 East, Pilot Mountain, NC.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 pm at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point.
