Joseph Yearian or Yearing was the 8th of 10 children of Adam Yerian and Sarah P. Powell.
He married on November 3, 1894, Jackson County, Illinois, to Hannah E. "Lizzie" Harris born May 1862 in Missouri.
They were living in Vergennes Township, Jackson County, Illinois, at the time of the 1900 and 1910 census. Spelling is "Yearing". Joseph was a laborer.

Joe Yearian, aged 66 years, of near Oraville, was struck and killed near Sparta Monday morning of last week by the M. & O. northbound accommodation train. He was feeble minded. A widow and several children survive. The remains were taken to Oraville for burial.
