Marion was the 2nd of 10 children of Adam Yerian and Sarah P. Powell.
He married 1st on January 26, 1871, Perry County, Illinois, to Lovina Catherine Ray. Marriage license: Vol #402 B/page 11.
He married 2nd on June 5, 1878, Perry County, Illinois, to Martha A. Price. Marriage license: Vol B/235 Lic #3. She had previously been married to a Mr. Crawford. She was listed with Marion in 1880.
He married 3rd on December 11, 1893, Jackson County, Illinois, to Margreth "Maggie" Harris born October, 1865, in Illinois. She was living in Murphysboro, Illinois, in 1910. Margreth was a sister of Sarah Catherine Harris, the wife of Marion's brother, William Scott Yearian.
They appear in the 1900 census of Vergennes Township, Jackson County, Illinois (under "Yearing"). He was a day laborer.
Marion was referred to as "Francis". He was killed while driving a team of horses across a swollen river during a flood. The bridge was washed out. It was said he was drunk at the time. The horses perished, too.
Marion served in the Civil War in Company A, 136th Illinois Infantry.
