Hamilton, Dale Edward, 83, passed away September 22, 2018, at Wheat State Manor after a long battle with cancer. He was born to Joel and Ola(Rector) Hamilton, on September 8, 1935 and lived his entire life on the family farm, homesteaded by his grandparents, where he raised cattle and crops.

Dale attended grade school in Cassoday, El Dorado High School and graduated from El Dorado Junior College in 1955. He was a 4-H and FFA member. After graduation he worked for the Kansas Turnpike, farmed full time and in later years became a part time truck driver.

Dale married Donna DeWitt in December of 1959. She preceded him in death in 2015. He is survived by his children, Dala Roberts(Don) of Lindsborg, Dan(Yolanda) of Whitewater and Donnie(Debbie) of rural Newton; grandchildren Danielle Hamilton and Mandy Shaver of California, Kyle Redinger of Wichita, Matt Roberts of Lindsborg, Megan Roberts of Manhattan, Melissa Hamilton of Manhattan, Dylan Hamilton, Ryan Hamilton and Madison Hamilton of Whitewater; and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson Derek Roberts. Dale's life revolved around farming, as was shown evident even in his last months. He helped rake hay and check the heifers that were due to calve.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Heritage Funeral Home, 206 E. Central Ave, El Dorado, Kansas 67042 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Cassoday United Methodist Church, 223 Washington St., Cassoday, Kansas 66842 beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at the Cassoday Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorials to Butler Community College Foundation for a Dale Hamilton memorial agriculture scholarship, 901 S.
