Joel M. Hamilton, 96, of Cassoday, died Saturday, April 30, 1994, at Susan B. Allen Hospital. Services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Burial will be in Cassoday Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 20, 1898, in Belvidere, Neb., the son of Benjamin and Minnie Barlow Hamilton. He was a farmer and rancher and had lived in the Cassoday area since 1916. On Oct. 5, 1923, he and Ola Rector were married in El Dorado.
Survivors include: wife, Ola; son, Dale of Cassoday; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters and one great-grandson. Memorials are to Cassoday United Methodist Church.
