Nettie E. Sylvester, 99, died Jan. 1, 2013, at Martin Nursing and Restorative Care, Stuart. She was born in Redington, Neb., and lived in Scotts Bluff, Neb., before relocating to Stuart 14 years ago. She was a homemaker. She was of Presbyterian faith. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Hassler of Stuart; son, John Sylvester of Calistoga, Calif.; four grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Patrick Sylvester. Memorial contributions may be made to Treasure Coast Hospice, 1201 S.E. Indian St., Stuart, FL 34997.
