Lynda Patty Rushing, 61, of McComb, passed away, Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at her residence.
She was born August 18, 1957 in Macon, MS. She was the daughter of Martha Adams Patty.
She was retired from Regions Bank as a Financial Service Specialist. She was a member of New Bethel Primitive Baptist Church where she served in numerous capacities including church clerk.
Ms. Rushing enjoyed traveling, shopping and playing cards with friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Mike Rushing and one sister, Ann Gaston.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Samuel Ray and Samantha Rushing of Watford City, ND; one daughter, Brandy Johnson of Tylertown, three sisters, Jane Brooks and Ida Mae Flynn of Hernando and Martha Mayes of Flowood; five grandchildren, Michael Brumfield, Kathrine Brumfield, Karley Johnson, Madi Sullivan and Austin Sullivan.
Visitation is Thursday at Sharkey Funeral Home, 1023 Old Brookhaven Road, Summit, MS 39666 from 5PM until 8PM and Friday from 9AM until services at 10AM with Bro. Ricky Myers and Bro. P.J. Walters officiating. Burial will follow in Rushing cemetery in Tylertown.
Pallbearers are Sam Rushing, Luke Wheless, Ron Wheless, Denny Johnson, Michael Brumfield and Mack Rushing, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Mack Rushing, Sr., Dennis Rushing, Mike Reynolds, Jim Morrow and James Sanderson.
