Barrister of Lincoln's Inn. Son of Christopher Anstey (d. 1805) and Ann Calvert. Baptised 16 Jun 1765 in Trumpington, Cambridge. Married Diana Ann Peirson on 15 May 1794 in St Marylebone, London. Born and married with surname Anstey. Took the name Calvert (London Gazette 15 Dec 1819) in memory of his maternal cousin Ann Calvert, spinster, of the city of Bath. Died aged 81 years. Buried on 7 Jun 1847.
