Erinae Janice Woodbury Christiansen, 81, passed away in her home in St. George, Utah on Tuesday, September 11, 2018. She was born in St. George on April 2, 1937, to John T. Woodbury Jr. and Grace Mills Woodbury. She was the 17th of 18 children and had a talent for dance and theatrics. She grew up in St. George and at the age of 16 moved to Monroe where she met her sweetheart, DeMont.
She married DeMont Christiansen on June 3, 1955, in the St. George Temple. She was a mother of five and very passionate about caring for her family. She had many talents including flower arranging but is most famous for homemade cinnamon rolls that were delivered at Christmastime far and wide. She had a kind and sensitive heart and sympathized with anyone who was hurting. She resided in Holiday, Utah for many years and she and DeMont moved to Hurricane and then St. George after he retired.
Erinae will be forever remembered by her husband DeMont; children: Sheldon (Wanell) Christiansen, David (Traci) Christiansen, Eridee (Justin) Vance, and Thayne Christiansen; siblings: Norman (Efronia) Woodbury and Nadine (Mel) Mitchell; half-siblings: Lail Wilkinson, Iris Sparks and Reba Bladh; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Janece Parkinson; brother Elrod Woodbury; and many of her half-siblings.
The family would like to give special thanks to Nadine and Mel Mitchell, who loved and cared for her throughout her life, but especially at the end.
A viewing will be held at the Magleby Mortuary from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Monroe City Cemetery. Funeral Directors: Magleby Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Manti.
