Wayne Johnson was a widower with two grown daughters and two young sons when he met and courted young widow Maude Heath Coleman in Belleville. They married and spent over 30 happy years together.
Wayne worked for Ford Motor Co. at the Rouge Plant in Dearborn, MI. When he retired, he was a watchman at Victory Park at Five Points in Belleville.
His funeral at Roberts Brothers Funeral Home, Belleville, was well attended and the euolgy given by a friend showed the high esteem in which he was regarded.
