Obituary posted on funeral home web page: Gordon "Zack" Clachrie, 67, beloved husband for 38 years of Linda (Samiagio) Clachrie, of Pawcatuck [Connecticut], passed away at The Westerly [Rhode Island] Hospital on Thursday, December 29, 2016. Born in Westerly, he was a son of the late Robert Clachrie and Phyllis Richard. Zack worked as a Master Marine Mechanic for Connors & O'Brien Marina for 40 years. He loved boating and spent countless days on Sandy Point and Napatree Point with family and friends. In addition, he was an accomplished woodworker and Jack of all Trades. Zack was known for his advice, assistance, and helping anyone who needed it. Zack spent most of his life in an area of Pawcatuck known as Clark's Village, when in his adult years, was affectionately referred to as "the Mayor." Family and friends will fondly remember the way he always greeted them with "Happy Days!" and when asked how he was doing, he always responded "Spoiled Rotten!" He leaves behind his wife Linda; his four children, Katrina Branesky and her husband Paul; Todd Roderick and his wife Aili of Pawcatuck; Danielle Hetu and her husband Jeff of Westerly; and Michelle Wilbur and her husband Todd of Preston, Connecticut; a brother, Pete Clachrie and his wife Sharon; and eight grandchildren: Kyle Clachrie; Zach Branesky; Devyn Hetu; Lexie Hetu; Jake Viteritto; Jason Wilbur; David Ero; and Ryan Roderick. Zack is also survived by many nieces and nephews; his longtime family friend, Blanche Brunell; and his constant companion, his Golden Retriever, Sophie. He was predeceased by his brother, Deke Clachrie.
