LITTLE ABNER SHERER DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Sherer Lose Six Year Old Son Last Saturday Morning. Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Sherer have the sympathy of the entire city in the death of their bright little son, Abner, Jr., who died at the family residence Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock, after a short illness. He was apparently in his usual good health Tuesday morning of last week, when he was suddenly seized with severe pains in one of his lower limbs, which soon, extended to other parts of the body, and the little fellow gradually grew worse, in spite of the best medical attention, until death came to his relief Saturday morning. Abner was 6 years and 5 months of age, and had always enjoyed good health previous to his fatal illness. Funeral services were conducted at the New Prospect church Sunday morning by Rev. J. J. Hagood, of the Jasper Baptist church, and interment followed in the New Prospect cemetery. The child is survived by his parents, brothers and sisters.
