Elizabeth was the 7th known child of Benjamin & Jane Cordell Spencer. According to census records she was born about 1837 in Boone Co., IN as the family moved from Fulton Co., IL to MO. She married Nov. 23,1854 in Cedar Co., MO to William George Washington Brown. They had 3 known children: Mary Jane, Nancy Lucinda and William Thomas. Elizabeth died about 1862 as William remarried in 1863. It is not known for sure if she is in this cemetery, but so many of the Browns are. She possibly could have been buried in the Mt. Gilead Cem.
