She died Wednesday at Central Baptist Hospital.
Born March 28, 1916, in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Jesse and Ludema Gilliam James.
She was a homemaker and a waitress, and a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, Ronald Daugherty of Lexington; two daughters, Martha Beckham of Lexington and Carolyn S. Barclay of Houston; two brothers, Howard James of Tucson, Ariz., and David James of Cincinnati; two sisters, Sarah Huffaker of Noma, La., and Betty D'Arcy of Pasadena, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Daugherty; and a grandchild.
