He was born Sept. 9, 1916, in Maries County, a son of Irvin and Ollie Francis Evans Pendleton. He was married Aug. 19, 1939, in Vienna, to Peggy Diehl, who survives at the home.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Meta Christian Church.
He worked as a maintenance engineer at Barnes Hospital, St. Louis, until his retirement in 1978.
He had lived in Meta.
Other survivors include: two brothers, Numan Pendleton, Westphalia, and Winston Pendleton, Wildwood; and two sisters, Cleta Bilyeu, St. Clair, and Amy Champlain, Wildwood.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Rekus Funeral Home, Meta. The Rev. Robert Hamm will officiate. Burial will be in Meta Southside Cemetery, near Meta.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.
