Robert N. Hammer was born Jan. 25, 1932 in Eldora, Iowa. Raised in Iowa, he married Annie Gelder on Sept. 25, 1950. He was in the Air Force from 1948 to 1950. He was called back to active duty for another year (1951) due to the Korean War. They moved to the Globe-Miami area in 1957. They have six children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a deacon in the Baptist church and very active until his health declined. He passed away on Aug. 17, 2018. There were no services and the family will hold a private memorial.
