Woodie was the youngest of three sons born to George O. and Jonnie Othelo (Caraway) Boone. He married Beatrice Bulah Billings and they were the parents of one daughter: Mary Elizabeth.

Mr. Woodie Milton Boone of 1206 Denver Blvd. passed away Friday, Nov. 26 in a local hospital at the age of 44 years. Survived by his widow, Mrs. Beatrice Boone; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Boone; father, Mr. George Boone of Pleasanton; mother, Mrs. George Boone of Nixon; brothers, Mr. William Earl Boone of Nixon and James Daniel Boone of Kingsville, Texas. The remains of Mr. Boone will lie in state in the chapel of the Alamo Funeral Home until about 2 p.m. Saturday, at which time they will be taken to Nixon for funeral services there Sunday in the Menega Funeral Home at 2:30 p.m. Interment in the Nixon Cemetery. Arrangements by the Alamo Funeral Home.
