NIXON - William Earl Boone, 81, of Nixon died Monday in a Sequin hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at Finch Chapel in Nixon with the Rev. Winston Coones officiating. Burial will be in Nixon Cemetery.
Boone was born Aug. 5, 1905, in Floresville to George and Johnnie Caraway Boone. He married on Aug. 4, 1934 Bernice Fatheree, who preceded him in death on July 28, 1983.
Surviving are a son, Howard Boone of Sequin; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Finch Funeral home in Nixon is in charge of arrangements.
