Graveside services for Ruby N. (Burge) Blackstone will be held Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Whitehouse Cemetery with Chaplain Tim Wade officiating under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blackstone passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 in Whitehouse. She was born February 4, 1934, in Starrville, Texas to parents, Erwin and Bennie (Johnson) Burge. Ruby grew up in the Tyler area. She worked for Tyler Pipe Industries, Inc. over a period of 13 years and left in 1985. Ruby was also employed as Secretary in the State Auditor’s Office in Austin from 1973 to 1974.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; her granddaughter, Amy Beltran and her sister, Juanita Ansley.
She is survived by her husband, John Blackstone; son, Allan Gee; daughter, Diann Kauffman; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
