Funeral services for Grant Ballard, 49, who died at his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Wednesday of last week, were held at Annunciation church here Saturday morning, the Rev. Father Louis Anthofer officiating. Casket bearers were Gerald Christy, Gerald Johnston, Dr. J. S. Weber, Duane Wheeler, George Kult and John Ferguson. Interment was in the Coon Rapids Cemetery. Martin Grant Ballard was born at Coon Rapids February 2, 1900 and passed away at the age of 49 years, 10 months and 12 days at his home in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Grant graduated from Coon Rapids High School with the class of 1918. On November 18th 1929 he was united in marriage to Rita Moylan. At the time of his death he was employed by Worthington Pump and Machinery Co of Wellsville, N. Y. He was a member of Saint Austin's parish and the Elks Club at Minneapolis. He was preceded in death by his father Mont Ballard and his mother, Ellen Smith. He leaves his wife; two brothers, Willard and Leverne; Five Sisters, Irene and Bethene Smith, Mrs. Verle Thomas (LVene), Mrs. Orrin Hilgenberg, (Maxine) of Coon Rapids and Mrs. Merle Bower (Pauline) of Monterey Park, Calif.
