Theodore Smith, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Smith, farmers north of town, died Tuesday in Des Moines where he was treated for appendicitis. Complications set in which resulted in his death. The body was brought home Wednesday evening and the funeral occurred yesterday at the M. E. church, Rev. Hicks conducting the services. Theodore was an excellent and promising young man and his death brings poignant grief to his parents and other near relatives and sorrow to many friends. He was in his eighteenth year.
