Alberto was married to his wife, Margarita Aceves, for fifty seven years until her passing in 2015. They later moved to Corpus Christi, TX, where they raised their family. He worked and retired from Borden’s Milk Company.
Alberto was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. He enjoyed fishing, watching his grandkids play sports, playing lotto scratch-offs, Hooks baseball games, teasing and joking with family and friends and going to family get togethers. He will always be remembered for his quiet nature and the love he had for all his grandchildren.
Alberto is preceded in death by his wife: Margarita Aceves, parents: Miguel and Josefa Aceves, brothers: Enrique and Jose Aceves and grandson: Michael B. Aceves. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Miguel “Mike” Aceves (Melissa), Ana Aceves-Stapp (Michael), Martha Medina (David), Laura Bartlett (Brian), Ruben Aceves, Juan Aceves (Sophie), Emelda Cantu (Eric), Daniel Aceves (Mayra), Veronica DeLaCruz (Alonzo), eighteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, two brothers: Salvador Aceves (Carmen) of Galveston and Ramiro Aceves (Joan) of North Carolina, two sisters: Flor Fonseca (Albert) and Lila Candelas from Harlingen, TX., and many nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 pm. on Monday, August 27, 2018 at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
