He was retired from the Littlestown Hardware and Foundry where he had been employed for 47 years, and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Littlestown.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Bender Breighner; triplet daughters, Judith A. Lease of Brodbecks, Joyce B. Lemmon of Hanover and Janice C. Underwood of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Stanley Breighner of Hanover and D. Elwood Breighner of Littlestown; four sisters, Evelyn Frock of Hanover, Sarah Martin of Spring Grove, Erma Sentz of Hanover and Betty Bowers of Texas; seven grandchildren; and one great–grandchild.
