He was the son of Edith(Walter)and William Corwin Link. He graduated from Shannon City High School in 1942. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945-47. On Oct. 15,1957, he married Lola Triggs Sheldon in Denver, Colo. He was a carpenter. He had 4 children; Margo Sanchez and Donald Bruce Link; Linda Link and Tamara Kay Link; 2 stepsons, Danny Sheldon and Lanny Sheldon. He had 2 sisters Ruth Kepley and Marrie(Dave)Kepley; 4 brothers, Arlo, Frank, Robert, and Merritt.∼Donald Link, son of William C. & Edith (Walter) Link was born Sept. 1, 1924 at Clearfield, Iowa. On October 15, 1957, he married Lola B. Triggs Sheldon at Denver, CO. Don was a retired carpenter. He had lived at Rapid City, South Dakota the last 18 years. Don passed away on April 26, 2007 at the home of his sister-in-law, Lois Triggs, in Mount Ayr, Iowa due to complications from cancer.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters Linda Link and Tamara Kay Link; brothers Arlo, Frank, Robert, Merritt Link; and a sister Ruth Kepley.
