Meredith Donnelle Link Kepley, 85, died January 5, 2016 at the Israel Family Hospice House.

Merri was born January 19, 1930 in Clearfield, Iowa to William Link and Edith Walter. She attended Creston High School, graduating in 1948.

Later that year she married David Kepley in Winterset, Iowa.

Merri was an Avon representative for 40 years, while helping with the family towing and repair business.

Merri was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and loved to cheer on Iowa State.

She was an excellent seamstress, great knitter, and wonderful cook. Merri was a devoted wife, mother, and grand-mother- she was the glue that kept the family together.

Merri is survived by her husband, David, children; David (Vicki) Kepley Jr., Doyle (Betty) Kepley, Danny (Sue) Kepley, and Denise (David) Wirth all of Ames, 12 grandchildren, and 22 great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers; Arlo, Frank, Robert, Donald, and Merritt "Mert" Link, and one sister, Ruth Kepley.

A gathering of friends and family will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care, 414 Lincoln Way in Ames. A celebration of life funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2016 at First United Methodist Church in Ames with burial to follow at Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Memorials may be directed to the Israel Family Hospice House.
