Maro L. Evans, 85, Dies at Chatfield
CHATFIELD, Minn. (Special) - Maro Logan Evans, 85, died Monday noon following a severe heart attack at his home here.
He was born May 22, 1866, in Olmsted County and had lived in this area all his life. He married Harriet Lipscomb Feb. 26, 1889, at Chatfield.
Surviving are one son, Ivan, Chatfield; two daughters, Mrs. Jesse Pruitt, Anderson, Ind., and Mars. Ernest Schroeder, Chatfield; one sister, Mrs. Cora Near, Alexandria, N.D.; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Boetzer funeral home and at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church here. Burial will be in the Chatfield cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. D. L. Harbor. Friends may call Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.
