David Gene Moss Sr., 72, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the home of his son, in Big Sandy,Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, August 29, 1945, in Dyer County, Tennessee. He was the son of the late James Davison Moss and the late Annie Lee Adcock Moss. He was a retired employee of Colonial Rubber and Dyersburg Fabrics.
Funeral services for Mr. Moss will be 12:00 PM on Monday, August 20, 2018, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. James Roberts. Interment will follow in Pierce Cemetery in Trimble, Tennessee.
He is survived by one son, David Gene Moss, Jr. (Robbie) of Big Sandy,Tennessee; one daughter, Shannon Becky Atchison of Dyersburg, Tennessee; three sisters, Faye Coleman, Jeanett. Dunlap (Eddie Ray Wilson) and Barbra Moss all of Trimble, Tennessee; one brother, James Wisdom of Obion, Tennessee; one grandchild, Bradley Clark and three great-grandchildren, Madison Moss, Caylei Clark and William Seth Ryder Clark.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son Scottie Gene Moss; one grandson, Seth David Moss and one sister, Mildred Hinson.
Pallbearers will be Mike Atchison, Bradley Clark, Gary Dunlap, James Marvin Dunlap and Charles Coleman.
