Son of John and Sina Bogan Stephenson, likely born in Simpson County, Kentucky per a well-documented Ancestry Family Tree.

Married Mary "Dolly" Crowley 27 January 1831 in Clay County, Missouri.

Levi and Mary had a large family. One son, John, is buried beside him in the Sloan Cemetery, Rockford Township, Caldwell County. Others are buried in Lawson Cemetery in Ray County along with Levi's wife, Mary.

Other daughters are buried in Elmira Cemetery and Sunny Slope Cemetery, both in Ray County, Missouri. I could not locate a burial location for daughter Mary Frances only because it appears she married in 1873 per Caldwell County marriage records, but the image is so faint her husband's name cannot be read (and one cannot search FAG without "at least the 1st 2 letters of the surname"). And the youngest child (per the Ancestry Family Tree), Thomas William, who died the same year he was born, had no entries in either Ancestry or Find A Grave to know where he might be buried.

Levi was a farmer, having purchased 80 acres in Caldwell County, Missouri, in 1843 after moving from Ray County where he also owned land and likely farmed.

Of special interest to me is the fact that two daughters married John O Sloan. Eldest daughter, Celia, married John approximately 1851. Together they had 2 daughters before Celia died in October 1854 (also the baby). In 1856, according to the Caldwell County Historical Society, John Sloan married Celia's younger sister, Sina, and they had one daughter, Geneva Rose.

Levi's headstone (also son John's) has been reinforced with iron bars to hold it erect. This suggests a family member lives/has lived nearby. I placed an article in the Caldwell County News in 2016 searching for descendants of those buried in the cemetery, but did not hear from any Stephenson descendants.
