Alphonse Chopin, aged 70, died at the residence of his daughter Friday,
Aug. 12, at 8:10 p. m. and was interred in the Catholic cemetery Saturday evening. Deceased was a native of the State and leaves five children
to mourn his death, among whom Mr. Louis Chopin, a prominent merchant of this place. the funeral was largely attended by friends and acquaintances.
