Funeral services for James Monroe Whitaker, 80, former resident of Iberia who died Friday at his home in Granite City, Ill., will be at 1 p.m. today in Union Church near Iberia with the Rev. Virgil Smith officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of Hedges.

Mr. Whitaker is survived by his wife, Lou; three sons, Cletus and Clemens of Granite City and Arthur of Reno, Nev.; three daughter, Mrs. Vera LeMaster of Granite City, Mrs. Eula Baugh and Mrs. Opal Miller of Vallejo, Calif.; three brothers, Forrest and Walker of Iberia and Hardin of Rolla; a sister, Miss Anna Whitaker of St. Louis; and 18 grandchildren.
