Accursia "Susie" Termine Bono, 97, of Lakewood, Colorado, passed away on January 23, 2015 at the Allison Care Center, Lakewood Colorado caused by complications, resulting from a broken hip. Susie Bono, daughter of Alberto and Rosalia Termine, loving wife of Gaspare, is survived by six children, Guiseppe, Giuseppa, Rosalia, Alberto, Susanna, and Salvatore. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Darren, Michael, Jason, Christina, Christopher, Sheldon, Vincenza, and Domynyque; and, also, six great grandchildren, Kendall, Matthew, Katie, Isabella, Valentina, and Luciano.
Susie, along with her three oldest children, immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island, New York in 1951, reuniting with her husband, Gaspare in Boston, Massachusetts. There, the youngest three children were born. After, working as a seamstress for several years, she eventually became a full-time homemaker. Her passion of cooking and entertaining were joys she always shared with her family and friends alike, regardless of the occasion. The love for her family was a beacon that always shined brightly, especially while playing an intimate role in raising her grandchildren throughout their childhood.
Services will be held at the Aspen Mortuaries in Lakewood, Colorado, on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, with a visitation from 12:30 -2:00 pm followed by a service beginning at 2:00 pm and concluding at the chapel.
