Editor & publisher of 'Mortuary Management' magazine, a trade journal for the funeral director. Originally began in 1914 as the 'Pacific Coast Undertaker' with his brother Edwin, the name was changed in 1926. It mainly served the Western United States but had a nationwide circulation which after his death was taken over by his son William and was based out of Los Angeles. The magazine was acquired in the late 1970's by Abbott & Hast, a mortuary accommodation service and the publisher & editor became Ron Hast. The magazine continued circulation until approximately 2011. He was also a licensed embalmer in Kansas at his family's funeral home.
